The UEFA Champions League, Europe’s most prestigious club competition returned on Tuesday as the group stage commenced.

A first day filled with goals, thrills, and upsets saw English side Chelsea lose 1-0 to Croatian side Dinamo Zagreb in the early kickoff. 

Borussia Dortmund defeated FC Copenhagen in the other early game.

More action was to come thereafter as heavyweights PSG and Juventus faced off in the night’s big game as the French champions emerged winners 2-1. 

Defending champions, Real Madrid began their title defense with a win, comfortably defeating Scottish side Celtic 3-0
