Effiong, a retired Deputy Superintendent of Police (DSP) said the Contributory Pensions Scheme (CPS) is "making us die younger than our age."

Police retirees had on Tuesday stormed the National Assembly to demand that they be removed from the Contributory Pensions Scheme (CPS).

Effiong, who called on Nigeria Info's Hard Facts, revealed that his monthly pension of N40,000 can't sustain his six children in the university, and wife.

An anonymous caller insisted that corruption is rampant in the civil service because "workers know at the end of the day they won't get anything."
