The All Progressives Congress (APC) Presidential Screening Committee has screened out 10 of the 23 aspirants seeking the party’s presidential ticket.
The John Odigie-Oyegun-led committee stated this on Friday while submitting its report to the National Chairman of the party, Sen. Abdullahi Adamu at the party’s national secretariat in Abuja.
Mr Oyegun said the committee did the exercise to give younger aspirants the opportunity to contest for the ticket.
The former Governor of Edo State did not immediately name the disqualified aspirants but said experience and the aspirants' contributions to national development were used as the criteria for the screening.
He also denied that former President Goodluck Jonathan was screened.
