Bayo Onanuga, the Director of Media and Publicity for the Tinubu/Shettima Campaign, has urged President Joe Biden to disregard the open letter written by Chimamanda Adichie, which criticized the US president and British Prime Minister, Rishi Sunak for congratulating Nigeria's president-elect, Bola Tinubu.

Adichie's letter, titled 'Nigeria's Hollow Democracy,' claimed that Biden prioritized stability over democracy in Africa and criticized the process that led to Tinubu's election.

Onanuga dismissed Adichie's letter as a work of fiction inspired by the electoral loss of her tribesman, Peter Obi.
