APC Releases 2027 Election Timetable, Fixes Presidential Form at N100m

Nigeria’s ruling party, the All Progressives Congress (APC), has released its timetable for the 2027 general elections, outlining key dates for the sale of nomination forms and primary elections across all elective positions.

According to the schedule, the sale of forms will take place at the party’s National Secretariat from Saturday, April 25 to Saturday, May 2, 2026.

The party also fixed dates for its primaries, beginning with the presidential primary slated for Friday, May 15 to Saturday, May 16, 2026.

This will be followed by the House of Representatives primary on Monday, May 18, and the Senate primary on Wednesday, May 20.

The State House of Assembly primaries are scheduled for Thursday, May 21, while governorship primaries will hold on Saturday, May 23, 2026.

In terms of costs, the APC pegged its presidential nomination form at ₦100 million, while governorship aspirants are to pay ₦50 million.

Senate forms are priced at ₦20 million, House of Representatives at ₦10 million, and State House of Assembly forms at ₦6 million.

The announcement sets the stage for early political activity within the party as aspirants begin consultations and preparations ahead of the primaries.
