EPL Saturday: Chelsea Stun Liverpool as Arsenal Go Top

When the final whistle blew at Stamford Bridge, Chelsea had done the unthinkable: a 95th-minute winner from teenager Estêvão Willian sent the home crowd into a frenzy, sealing a 2-1 win over Liverpool.

It wasn’t just another upset - it was a statement. Moisés Caicedo had opened the scoring in the 12th minute with a stunning strike that flew past a static defense; Liverpool looked set to snatch a point after Cody Gakpo equalised in the second half.

But Estêvão, the 18-year-old Brazilian, latched onto a Marc Cucurella cross in stoppage time and slotted home the decisive blow.

The emotion spilled over: Chelsea boss Enzo Maresca was shown a second yellow card and sent off for celebrating wildly.

It was a cruel afternoon for Liverpool - their third straight defeat - and suddenly the title race felt a little less secure for the Reds.

Arsenal Move Top of The Table

Arsenal, meanwhile, took full advantage in north London.

The Gunners dispatched West Ham 2-0 in Mikel Arteta’s 300th match in charge. Declan Rice, playing against his former club, opened the scoring before Bukayo Saka buried a spot-kick in the 67th minute.

That put Arsenal momentarily at the summit of the table.

But the Gunners’ joy was tempered by concern: captain Martin Ødegaard was forced off just half an hour in after a clash that left him wearing a knee brace, while Rice too looked in discomfort later in the match.

Arteta admitted the injury issues are an emerging challenge even amid a performance that showed real depth.

United Spring to Victory

Over in Manchester, United offered relief for Ruben Amorim with a 2-0 win over Sunderland at Old Trafford.

Mason Mount broke the deadlock before Benjamin Sesko doubled the lead - his first goal at home in front of an expectant crowd.

The visitors thought they might pull one back via a penalty, but VAR intervened, ruling the spot-kick decision out. United were dominant in the first half, and though their finishing lacked some polish after the break, the clean sheet and three points will do for now.

Kudus Ends Leeds' Undefeated Home Run

And tucked into the undercurrent of all this? Tottenham’s little explosion.

At Elland Road, Mohammed Kudus fired in his first Spurs goal to earn a 2-1 victory over Leeds - ending a long home undefeated run for the Whites.

Mathys Tel had given Tottenham an early, somewhat fortuitous lead, while Noah Okafor equalised midway through the first half.

But Kudus’ strike from the edge proved decisive.
