An Israeli airstrike on Nasser Hospital in southern Gaza has killed at least 20 people, including five journalists, according to local authorities.
Among the victims were a Reuters cameraman, an Associated Press journalist, and a journalist from Al Jazeera. Reports indicate that several people were killed in the initial strike, with more casualties occurring in a second attack as rescuers rushed to the scene, the Hamas-run Civil Defence said.
The Israeli military confirmed a strike in the area, stating it “regrets any harm to uninvolved individuals and does not target journalists as such.”
This incident follows a similar attack two weeks ago, in which six journalists were killed near al-Shifa Hospital in Gaza City.
