Ikeja Electric Distribution Company (IE) has announced a revision in the electricity tariff for customers in Band A.

According to a circular issued by the company's management on Monday, customers in this category will now benefit from a reduced tariff, with the rate dropping from N225/kWh to N206.80/kWh.

In a circular posted on their official Twitter page, the electricity distribution company highlighted the adjustment in the tariff for Band A feeders, will now stand at N206.80/kWh, effective from the 6th of May 2024.

This revision comes as a departure from the previous rate of N225/kWh by the Nigeria Electricity Regulatory Commission (NERC).

The circular however assured customers of guaranteed availability of electricity supply ranging from 20 to 24 hours daily under this revised tariff structure.

It is important to note that while there are adjustments for Band A, the tariff rates for Bands B, C, D, and E remain unchanged.
