The Joint Admissions and Matriculation Board has announced the full restoration of its Central Admissions Processing System, CAPS, following a temporary disruption.
In a statement, JAMB said CAPS is now fully operational and urged tertiary institutions to accelerate their admission processes to recover lost time and meet the agreed deadlines.
Candidates have also been advised to promptly accept admission offers made to them as institutions continue processing admissions for the 2026/2027 academic session.
JAMB set October 31, 2026, as the deadline for admissions by public universities, while private universities have until November 30.
Other tertiary institutions have until December 31, 2026, to complete their admission processes.
Following the release of the 2026 National Examinations Council, NECO, Senior School Certificate Examination results, JAMB also advised candidates who had previously been awaiting their results to upload or verify them promptly.
The board said the step would ensure that candidates’ credentials are available for consideration as institutions intensify their admission processes.
JAMB apologised for the inconvenience caused by the temporary disruption and thanked candidates, institutions and other stakeholders for their patience and understanding.
