The Lagos State Government says the second phase of repair works on the Ogudu–Ifako Bridge, inbound the Island, will resume on Wednesday, September 3rd.
To ease traffic during the repairs, the State has reviewed the traffic management plan.
According to the Commissioner for Transportation, Oluwaseun Osiyemi, vehicles approaching the bridge will be diverted into a single lane at the work zone and return to full access shortly after.
Motorists heading to Oshodi are advised to use the Ojota Slip Road through Ikorodu Road by Anthony, while those going to Victoria Island can either connect the Third Mainland Bridge via Gbagada, or continue through Ikorodu Road and Funsho Williams Avenue to Eko Bridge.
From Ikeja and nearby areas, motorists can go through Maryland to link Ikorodu Road and Funsho Williams Avenue, then proceed via Eko Bridge to Marina.
The Commissioner appealed to drivers to obey traffic officers, maintain lane discipline, and be patient, stressing that the partial closure is necessary for better road infrastructure.
