 
                                    The Chief of Army Staff, Lieutenant General Waidi Shaibu, has approved new postings and appointments of senior officers across the Nigerian Army to strengthen leadership and improve command structure.
Major General Bamidele Alabi is now the Chief of Policy and Plans (Army), while Major General Jamal Abdulsalam becomes Chief of Defence Operations.
Major General Peter Mala takes over as the Commander, Training and Doctrine Command(TRADOC), and Major General Samson Jiya is the new Chief of Defence Accounts and Budget.
Other key appointments include Major General Mayirenso Saraso as Chief of Operations (Army), Major General Isa Abdullahi as Chief of Administration, and Major General Musa Etsu-Ndagi as Chief of Civil-Military Affairs.
The reshuffle also affects corps commands, with Major General Godwin Mutkut now leading the Infantry Corps, Major General Umar Abubakar heading the Armour Corps, and Major Generals John Adeyemo and Mohammed Abdullahi taking charge of the Artillery and Signals Corps, respectively.
Major General Taofik Sidick becomes Chief of Accounts and Budget (Army), while Major Generals Abdullahi Ibrahim, Adeyinka Adereti, and Nansak Shagaya will head the Ordnance, Electrical and Mechanical Engineers, and Supply and Transport Corps.
The COAS also approved new appointments in training institutions, including Major General Oluyemi Olatoye as Commandant of the Nigerian Defence Academy (NDA) and three others leading various Army schools.
