President Bola Tinubu has welcomed the rescue of 308 kidnap victims in Kwara and Niger states, commending security agencies for the successful operation and directing them to step up efforts to prevent future attacks.
In a statement issued on Thursday, the President praised the intelligence, coordination and bravery of the security personnel involved in the rescue mission.
Tinubu directed security agencies to strengthen early warning systems, improve community intelligence gathering and enhance rapid response capabilities across the country.
He reaffirmed his administration’s commitment to tackling insecurity, saying security forces would continue to pursue terrorists, kidnappers and other criminal groups threatening communities.
The President declared that there would be “no hiding place for terrorists in Nigeria,” expressing confidence that the country’s security challenges would be overcome.
