Presidential aspirant, Adamu Garba has started a fundraising campaign to finance his All Progressives Congress (APC) nomination forms.
He put out a tweet Saturday at 3:21 pm Nigerian time with the message, “My project with you has started. To those of you who made pledges of donation, here is the account number.”
“100M for the form is insensitive, but our collective contribution to get this form will send a strong signal that we care about Nigeria,” he wrote.

Apart from the Zenith Bank account number he put out, Mr. Garba also wrote three phone numbers that intending donators can call.
On April 20, the APC pegged its presidential expression of interest form at N30 million and nomination form at N70 million, making a total of N100 million for anyone who aspires to run on its platform.
This drew a lot of criticism from Nigerians.
The pegging of the nomination forms at N100 million came three days after Mr. Garba had publicly declared his intention to contest the presidency.
