Air Force Begins Investigation into Fire at Abuja Base

The Nigerian Air Force (NAF), says it has begun an investigation to unravel the immediate causes of a fire involving a Jet A-1 fuel dump at its base on Bill Clinton Drive in Abuja.

The NAF spokesperson, Air Commodore Ayodele Famuyiwa in a statement said the incident happened on Wednesday morning and resulted in the explosion of some fuel tanks. No life was lost.

Air Commodore Famuyiwa commended the fire services of the Federal Airports Authority of Nigeria (FAAN), Federal Capital Territory Administration (FCTA), the Federal Fire Service, and the NAF Fire Service for putting out the fire.
