Former Minister of Works and Housing and former Lagos State Governor, Babatunde Fashola, SAN, on Thursday received Lagos State Deputy Governor Obafemi Hamzat and other All Progressives Congress (APC) leaders during an official consultation visit.
The visit, held on April 16, 2026, was part of ongoing political consultations within the ruling party in Lagos State.
Details of the discussions were not fully disclosed, but sources said the meeting focused on party cohesion, governance issues and strengthening internal collaboration ahead of future political engagements.
Fashola, who also served as governor of Lagos State from 2007 to 2015, welcomed the delegation at his residence, according to party insiders.
Dr Hamzat led the APC delegation on what was described as a courtesy and consultative visit involving senior party stakeholders.
A brief statement from the encounter indicated that the visit formed part of efforts to maintain communication and alignment among key political actors in the state.
No formal communiqué was issued at the end of the meeting, and neither side provided detailed comments on specific resolutions reached during the engagement.
