Iran on Tuesday rejected calls for negotiations as the death toll from ongoing U.S.-Israeli strikes climbed to 787, according to the Iranian Red Crescent.

“We will not negotiate under attack,” an Iranian Foreign Ministry spokesperson said, calling the military campaign “a violation of our sovereignty.”

Tehran accused Washington and Tel Aviv of targeting civilian areas and critical infrastructure, a claim both countries deny.

U.S. and Israeli officials say the strikes are aimed at degrading Iran’s missile and nuclear capabilities.

“Our objective is clear: to eliminate the threat posed by Iran’s military infrastructure,” an Israeli military statement said.

The conflict, now in its fourth day, has seen airstrikes hit multiple sites across Iran, including military and energy facilities.

Iran has retaliated with missile and drone attacks targeting Israel and U.S. interests in the region.

The rising casualties have sparked international concern.

China urged an immediate ceasefire and a return to dialogue, while European leaders called for restraint to prevent wider regional instability.

Global energy markets have reacted sharply amid fears of disruption in the Gulf, adding economic pressure to the growing humanitarian toll.

With both sides hardening positions, prospects for near-term diplomacy appear slim as the confrontation deepens.
