King Charles III has hosted Bola Ahmed Tinubu and First Lady Oluremi Tinubu at Windsor Castle, praising Nigeria’s growing global influence.
Speaking during the state visit, the monarch commended the strong and evolving relationship between Nigeria and the United Kingdom.
He also extended Ramadan greetings to Muslims, wishing them peace and blessings.
Charles highlighted Nigeria’s youthful population and rising global impact, noting the contributions of Nigerians in the UK across business, technology, healthcare and the arts.
He described the Nigerian diaspora as a “living bridge” strengthening ties between both nations.
The King also pointed to growing trade and investment links, including Nigerian businesses operating in London and expanding partnerships between both countries.
He described Nigeria as an economic and cultural powerhouse, with strong influence in global affairs and within the Commonwealth.
The monarch reaffirmed the UK’s commitment to deeper cooperation with Nigeria in areas such as trade, security and development.
