The NYSC said it is aware of reports alleging the involvement of a staff member, adding that the matter is being investigated by security agencies.
According to the statement, the staff member in question has been taken into custody, while the scheme is cooperating fully with law enforcement authorities to ensure justice is served.
The NYSC reiterated its commitment to maintaining discipline among staff and corps members, stressing that it will not tolerate misconduct or abuse of office.
It also urged the public to avoid speculation and allow due process to take its course, while assuring that the safety and welfare of corps members remain a top priority.
