President Buhari to Attend King Charles’ Coronation

President Muhammadu Buhari will be joining other world leaders at the coronation of King Charles III and his wife, Camilla, as His Majesty The King and Her Majesty The Queen Consort of the United Kingdom, on 6 May.

The president will be leaving for the UK today (Wednesday) and will attend the Commonwealth Summit for Presidents and Heads of Government a day before the coronation.

The Summit will deliberate on the future of the Commonwealth and the role of young people, according to a statement released by President Buhari’s special adviser on media and publicity, Femi Adesina.

The coronation of King Charles III and his wife will be officiated by the Archbishop of Canterbury at Westminster Abbey and attended by foreign royals and heads of state.

The event will be broadcast around the world and is expected to be watched by hundreds of millions of people.
