A fatal crash on the Lagos–Ibadan Expressway has left three people dead and other people severely injured, according to the Lagos State Traffic Management Authority (LASTMA).
The accident occurred near the State Secretariat complex, heading toward Otedola Bridge, and involved three vehicles.
Emergency responders said the impact of the collision resulted in multiple casualties, with three victims confirmed dead at the scene.
The Lagos State Ambulance Service (LASAMBUS) medical personnel were administering emergency treatment to the injured as of the time of this report.
LASTMA officials and officers of the Nigerian Police Force are on-site managing traffic, securing the area, and coordinating rescue operations.
Authorities say efforts are ongoing to clear the wreckage and restore normal traffic flow on the heavily travelled route.
