President Bola Tinubu arrived in Nairobi, Kenya, early Monday for the two-day Africa Forward Summit, joining African and global leaders to discuss innovation, climate action and economic growth partnerships.

Tinubu’s aircraft landed at Jomo Kenyatta International Airport at about 12:15 a.m., where he was received by top Nigerian officials, including Gov. Uba Sani of Kaduna State and several cabinet ministers.

The summit, themed “Africa Forward: Africa-France Partnerships for Innovation and Growth,” is co-chaired by French President Emmanuel Macron and Kenyan President William Ruto.

It will focus on energy transition, digital transformation, green industrialisation and global financing reforms.

In a statement, officials said Tinubu’s participation “underscores Nigeria’s commitment to deepening strategic partnerships and positioning the country as a prime investment destination.”

The president is expected to engage in high-level meetings with global business leaders during the summit before heading to Kigali, Rwanda, for the Africa CEO Forum from May 14 to 15.

The Kigali event, themed “Scale or Fail,” will bring together more than 2,000 business leaders, investors and policymakers to discuss regional integration and economic transformation.
