Would you wish your children/wards to have the character of the person you intend to vote for in the 2023 elections?
Samuel Olumakinde Alawode of the Maranatha Lord Cometh Ministries, Ibadan, Oyo State left his congregation speechless when he prayed that their children would bear the character and destiny of whomever they have chosen to vote for.
Alawode said: “That man you want to vote for, may your children have his character and destiny.
“That man that you are rooting for, shouting on Facebook and shouting about, may your great-grandchildren behave like him.”
In the video, the prayer of the bishop caused an uproar in the church, with members refusing to say "amen."
Reacting to the video on Nigeria Info's Hard Fact, some callers noted that the prayer of the bishop "is a very good way to pass a message."
According to them, some Nigerians do not think deeply about their choices.
They further noted that if voters can't wish the character of a candidate on their children or wards, then they should not wish the same candidate to lead Nigeria.
