President Bola Tinubu has congratulated Vice President Kashim Shettima on his 60th birthday, describing him as a trusted partner and patriot committed to Nigeria’s progress and unity.
President Tinubu, in a statement issued by the State House on Tuesday, congratulated Shettima’s wife, Nana, his children, family and political associates on the milestone.
The president praised Shettima’s career in banking and his record of public service, first as governor of Borno State and later as vice president of Nigeria.
Tinubu said Shettima had demonstrated courage, diligence and compassion in both positions, while remaining committed to improving the lives of Nigerians.
He also commended the vice president for his loyalty to the All Progressives Congress and his support for the administration’s Renewed Hope Agenda.
As chairman of the National Economic Council, Tinubu said Shettima had provided purposeful leadership in coordinating economic policies and promoting collaboration between the federal and state governments.
The president also praised Shettima’s respect for constitutional governance, democratic institutions, dialogue and consultation, saying these had contributed to strengthening good governance.
Tinubu thanked the vice president for his “steadfast support and partnership” and expressed confidence that they would continue to make progress toward building the Nigeria of their dreams.
He prayed that Allah would continue to guide, protect and strengthen Shettima, while granting him wisdom, good health and many more years of purposeful service to Nigeria.
