President Bola Ahmed Tinubu has praised a strategic agreement involving BUA Group and UAE based partners as a major boost for Nigeria’s industrial and trade ambitions.
The Memorandum of Understanding was signed in Abu Dhabi between BUA Group, AD Ports Group, and MAIR Group, focusing on sugar refining, agro industrial development, and integrated global logistics.
Officials say the partnership is designed to increase value addition, strengthen supply chains, and expand trade flows between West Africa and the Gulf region, with key operations to be developed in the United Arab Emirates.
Tinubu said the agreement reflects rising international confidence in Nigeria’s reform agenda and showcases the ability of Nigerian companies to compete on the global stage. He also commended BUA Chairman Abdul Samad Rabiu for continued investments that deepen Nigeria’s industrial base.
The deal comes amid renewed diplomatic engagement between Nigeria and the UAE, following recent high level talks centered on trade, investment, infrastructure, and food security.
