U.S. President Donald Trump has warned Iran against further attacks on energy infrastructure following recent strikes involving Israel and Iran in the Middle East.
Trump said Israel had targeted part of Iran’s South Pars Gas Field, causing limited damage, and stressed that the United States had no prior knowledge of the attack. He added that Qatar was not involved.
The U.S. president accused Iran of retaliating by striking Qatar’s liquefied natural gas facility and warned that further attacks could prompt a strong U.S. response, including possible destruction of the South Pars Gas Field.
Meanwhile, Iran’s Foreign Minister Seyed Abbas Araghchi criticized Emmanuel Macron for selective concern, claiming the French leader condemned Iranian retaliation but not Israeli strikes.
Macron said he had spoken with the Emir of Qatar and President Trump, calling for an immediate halt to attacks targeting civilian infrastructure, particularly energy and water facilities, and emphasized the importance of protecting civilian populations and global energy supplies.
