Bruno Fernandes made Premier League history after Manchester United’s 3-2 victory over Nottingham Forest, equalling the record for the most assists in a single season.
Fernandes provided the assist for Bryan Mbeumo’s goal, taking his tally to 20 assists for the season, matching the long-standing Premier League record held by Thierry Henry and Kevin De Bruyne.
The milestone came in United’s final home game of the campaign at Old Trafford, with the captain once again at the centre of the team’s attacking play.
Fernandes’ achievement places him among an elite group of playmakers in Premier League history, becoming only the third player to reach the 20-assist mark in a single campaign.

The Portuguese midfielder has been instrumental for United throughout the season, consistently creating chances and unlocking defences with his passing range and vision.
With one game left in the season, Fernandes now has the opportunity to surpass the record outright and set a new benchmark for assists in a Premier League campaign.
