The group stages of the ongoing 'I Beg To Differ' Tournament of Champions continues to produce more spectacles.
This time it was Nicholas Musa causing an upset by defeating the champion from the August edition, Fabian Chigbundu in the Group C match-up.
The debate saw both contestants debate the topic: "The Naira Redesign & Swap is a good policy."
In his argument, Fabian Chigbundu who supported the topic noted that the Naira redesign policy will help mop up excessive cash in the system.
According to him, the policy has brought more people to the online banking platform and at the same time, curbs kidnapping and robbery as kidnappers won't risk asking for bank transfers.
Musa Nicholas argued that the policy is poorly timed and that the CBN should have put in place an adequate online financial infrastructure before launching such a policy.
Nicholas who emerged winner also argued that the poor planning of the policy will lead to a breakdown of law and order due to the inability to access cash.
The group stages continue on Thursday at 4pm with Olaloye Toluwalase taking on Oluchi Akwarandu in Group D.
