Cristiano Ronaldo Marries Georgina Rodríguez in Portugal

Football superstar Cristiano Ronaldo has married his longtime partner, Georgina Rodríguez, in a civil ceremony in Portugal, according to reports in the Portuguese media.

Ronaldo appeared to confirm the marriage Wednesday by posting a photograph on Instagram showing two hands wearing wedding rings, alongside the caption, “Our wedding. Our story.”

Portuguese media reported that the couple married Tuesday in the coastal town of Cascais, near Lisbon, with their five children in attendance.

Ronaldo and Rodríguez have been together for about a decade after meeting at a Gucci store in Madrid, where Rodríguez was working while Ronaldo played for Real Madrid.

The couple announced their engagement on Aug. 11, 2025, when Rodríguez shared a photograph of her diamond engagement ring.

They have two children together, Alana Martina, born in 2017, and Bella, born in 2022. Bella was born alongside a twin brother who died shortly after birth.

Rodríguez has also helped raise Ronaldo’s other three children, with the family currently based in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia.

Ronaldo, 41, is the captain of Portugal and has played for Sporting Lisbon, Manchester United, Real Madrid, Juventus and Saudi club Al-Nassr. He has won the Ballon d’Or five times and has scored nearly 1,000 career goals.

The marriage marks a new chapter for one of football’s most recognisable couples, whose decade-long relationship has remained a major focus of international media attention.
