Death Toll in Strike on Iranian Girls’ School Rises to About 180 - Health Official

The death toll from an Israeli attack on a girls’ school in southern Iran has risen to “about 180 young children”, according to a senior Iranian health official.

Hossein Kermanpour, head of public relations at Iran’s Health Ministry, said the strike targeted a girls’ school in the city of Minab on Sunday.

He described the victims as “young children” and said the number of fatalities had climbed to approximately 180.

Kermanpour also said the “same type” of missile was used in a separate attack hours later on Gandhi Hospital in the capital, Tehran.

There was no immediate comment from Israel.

The reported strike comes amid escalating hostilities between Israel and Iran, with both sides trading accusations and military action in recent days.
