Former Kaduna State Governor Nasir Ahmad El-Rufai has appeared before the Kaduna State High Court as his trial resumes.
The case was filed by the Independent Corrupt Practices and Other Related Offences Commission over allegations including abuse of office and fraud.
El-Rufai is standing trial alongside Amadu Sule on charges related to alleged financial misconduct.
Before entering the courtroom, he was heard discussing the upcoming convention of the African Democratic Congress, suggesting continued political engagement.
In a separate matter, he is also facing charges at the Federal High Court in Kaduna over alleged money laundering and fraud involving large sums.
A bail hearing in that case has been scheduled for April 14.
