The Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) has formally recognised the leadership of the African Democratic Congress (ADC) headed by former Senate President David Mark, ending a long-running internal dispute within the party.
The announcement was posted on INEC’s official website on Wednesday.
The principal officers now officially recognised by INEC are:
-
Sen. David Mark – Interim National Chairman
-
Rauf Aregbesola – National Secretary
-
Dr. Ibrahim Mani – National Treasurer
-
Akibu Dalhatu – National Financial Secretary
-
Prof. Oserheimen Osunbor – National Legal Adviser
The recognition follows an internal restructuring earlier this year, when the opposition coalition adopted the ADC as its political platform to mount a stronger challenge in the 2027 general election.
