Iran Warns U.S. Troops ‘Will Be Set on Fire’ as Tensions Escalate

Iran’s parliament speaker has issued a strong warning to the United States, saying Iranian forces are prepared to attack American troops if they are deployed on the ground in the ongoing Middle East conflict.

Speaker Mohammad Bagher Ghalibaf said Iran is closely watching U.S. military movements in the region, declaring that “our forces are waiting for U.S. troops to set them on fire.”

His comments come amid growing fears of a possible U.S. ground operation, following increased troop deployments and military build-up across the Middle East.

Reports indicate that thousands of American troops have recently been moved into the region, raising tensions further.

Iran has accused Washington of preparing for war while publicly calling for negotiations.

Ghalibaf alleged that the U.S. is using diplomacy as a cover, warning that any ground invasion would trigger a fierce response.

The United States, however, has sent mixed signals.

While officials say military options remain on the table, there have also been efforts to pursue diplomatic solutions through indirect talks.

The latest rhetoric follows weeks of escalating violence between Iran, Israel, and their allies.

U.S. forces have already carried out major strikes on Iranian military targets, including a large-scale operation on Kharg Island, which Washington described as hitting key military facilities.

Iran has responded with missile and drone attacks across the region, targeting U.S. and allied positions, as well as key infrastructure.

Observers point out that the situation remains highly volatile, with the risk of a broader regional war increasing if ground troops are deployed.

Despite ongoing diplomatic efforts, both sides appear to be preparing for further escalation.
