Former president, Muhammadu Buhari has died in London.
His spokesman, Garba Shehu, released a short statement saying Buhari passed away in a clinic on Sunday afternoon.
"The family of the former president has announced the passing of the former president, Muhammadu Buhari, GCFR, this afternoon in a clinic in London," the statement read.
"May Allah accept him in Aljannatul Firdaus, Amin."
Buhari was Nigeria's president from 2015 to 2023 when he handed over to President Bola Tinubu.
