Juventus have officially dismissed head coach Igor Tudor following an eight-match winless run across all competitions.
The decision was confirmed by the club in an official statement on Monday. Juventus said Massimo Brambilla, who currently manages the club’s reserve side, will take charge as interim coach while discussions continue over a long-term replacement.
Tudor’s dismissal comes after a string of poor results that saw Juventus fail to win any of their last eight games, drawing five and losing three, including recent defeats to Como, Real Madrid, and Lazio. The team also went four consecutive matches without scoring a goal.
The poor run has left Juventus eighth in Serie A, six points adrift of leaders Napoli, a disappointing position for a side expected to challenge for the title and compete strongly in Europe.
Reports in the Italian media suggest the club’s hierarchy grew frustrated with the team’s lack of attacking structure and inconsistent performances. There were also indications of strained relationships between Tudor and some senior players, as well as concerns over his public comments during press conferences.
Massimo Brambilla will lead the team on an interim basis while Juventus considers options for a permanent appointment. Among the names reportedly being discussed are Thiago Motta, Antonio Conte, and Zinedine Zidane, although the club has not confirmed any shortlist.
