He announced his resignation on Monday in a statement shared on his official Facebook page, confirming his exit from the Kano State Executive Council.
Kwankwaso expressed gratitude to Governor Abba Kabir Yusuf for the opportunity to serve, describing the decision as a difficult one.
“It is with a heavy heart that I announce my resignation as Honourable Commissioner, Ministry of Youth and Sports Development and member of the Kano State Executive Council,” he said.
He thanked the governor for the confidence placed in him and said his time in office provided valuable experiences and lessons while serving the people of Kano State.
