NAHCON Reduces 2026 Hajj Fares Across Nigeria

The National Hajj Commission of Nigeria (NAHCON) has announced a reduction in the 2026 Hajj fares for intending pilgrims nationwide. The review followed President Bola Tinubu’s directive in October for the agency to make the pilgrimage more affordable.

In an update released Monday on X, NAHCON said pilgrims from the Borno and Adamawa zones will now pay ₦7,579,020.96 — a decrease of ₦748,104.63 from the 2025 fare. Those from the Northern Zone will pay ₦7,696,769.76, while Southern Zone pilgrims will pay ₦7,991,141.76.

The Commission explained that the new rates reflect reductions of over ₦700,000 across all zones, aimed at easing the financial burden on intending pilgrims.

It also set December 5, 2025, as the deadline for payment, urging all pilgrims to complete transactions early to ensure smooth processing for the 2026 Hajj.

NAHCON advised the public to visit its official website, www.nahcon.gov.ng, for full details and further inquiries.
