Nigeria Info's Emmanuel Onwuka has been nominated for the Prize for Journalism at The Future Awards Africa (TFAA) 2026.
This marks the broadcaster and communications strategist's second nomination by the awards body.
He was first shortlisted in 2023 for On-Air Personality of the Year, the same year he won Radio Production of the Year at the Nigeria Broadcasting Awards, underscoring his creativity and influence in African media storytelling.
With over a decade of experience across Cool FM, Wazobia FM, and Nigeria Info FM in Port Harcourt and Lagos, Onwuka has built a career championing authentic African narratives and cross-cultural collaboration.
His work spans media innovation, tourism development, and international cultural exchange, positioning him as one of Nigeria’s prominent media voices connecting Africa to the world.
He presents "Digital Life" and "Travel and Culture" on Nigeria Info 99.3 FM. He also produces podcasts for Nigeria Info Extra, NIX.
Beyond broadcasting, Onwuka has represented Nigeria at major international tourism events, including the Antalya Tourism Fair in Turkey and the Africa Tourism Forum in Sharm El Sheikh, Egypt.

His contributions to promoting tourism and youth engagement have earned him commendations from the Government of Malawi, the Embassy of the Philippines, the South African High Commission, and the Malaysian High Commission in Nigeria.
Reacting to his nomination, Onwuka described it as “a humbling reminder that authentic storytelling and impact-driven communication can transform perceptions and create real change.”
