NNPC Retail Hosts She-Fix 2.0 to Boost Women’s Inclusion in Energy Sector

NNPC Retail Limited has hosted the second edition of its women-focused initiative, She-Fix 2.0, in Abuja to promote inclusion and expand opportunities for women in technical and professional sectors.

The event, themed “Driving Diversity, Powering Progress,” brought together more than 300 women professionals, entrepreneurs, and energy industry leaders.

Minister of Women Affairs Imaan Sulaiman-Ibrahim called for greater access for women in STEM and technical fields, urging stronger public-private collaboration to scale such initiatives.

“Inclusion is central to national growth, and we must ensure women have equal access to opportunity,” she said.

Executive Vice President, Business Services at NNPC Limited, Sophia Mbakwe, said women already play key roles across the organisation and must be further empowered.

Managing Director of NNPC Retail, Huub Stokman, represented by Valentina Kojo, said women’s empowerment must be practical, visible, and sustainable.

Chief Corporate Communications Officer Andy Odeh said women are reshaping the energy sector and driving institutional growth.

“When women lead, value follows, and when value follows, organisations grow and society prospers,” he said.

The event featured panel discussions, business showcases, live demonstrations, and networking sessions aimed at strengthening female participation in the energy value chain.
