The Nigerian Senate will reconvene on Tuesday, February 17, at 11 a.m., Senate Clerk Emmanuel Odo announced Sunday.
The notice, issued on the directive of Senate President Godswill Akpabio, urges all senators to reschedule engagements to ensure full attendance for “very crucial decisions” on national issues.
“The Senate will reconvene plenary session as directed by the Senate President,” Odo said in the official statement.
The move comes after last week’s emergency sitting to address disagreements surrounding the Electoral Act Amendment Bill 2026, despite an earlier adjournment set for February 24.
The upcoming session aims to resolve outstanding issues before final transmission to the President for assent.
