Teen Sensation Ngumoha Snags Last-Gasp Winner in Premier League Thriller

In a match that defied belief, a 16-year-old Liverpool debutant, Rio Ngumoha, scored a sensational 100th-minute winner to secure a dramatic 3-2 victory over 10-man Newcastle United at St. James' Park.

The result keeps Liverpool's perfect start to the season intact after a thrilling contest that saw both teams fight back from adversity.

Newcastle began the match with fierce determination, dominating the opening half-hour and putting Liverpool's defense under immense pressure. However, it was the visitors who struck first, with midfielder Ryan Gravenberch's precise long-range shot finding the back of the net in the 35th minute.

The Magpies' fortunes soured further just before halftime when Anthony Gordon received a straight red card for a late tackle on Virgil van Dijk, leaving the home side with a daunting challenge. The second half started stunningly for Liverpool, with Hugo Ekitike doubling their lead just 20 seconds after the restart.

Down by two goals and a man, the match appeared to be over. But Newcastle, spurred on by a fervent home crowd, mounted an extraordinary comeback.

Bruno Guimaraes ignited the fightback with a powerful header in the 57th minute, and the momentum shifted. Despite being a man down, Newcastle's relentless pressure paid off in the 88th minute when substitute William Osula latched onto a flick-on to level the scores at 2-2. The stadium erupted in celebration as a draw seemed the most likely outcome.

With an astonishing 11 minutes of added time, the game opened up, and it was a moment of sheer composure from Liverpool's youngest player that settled the affair.

A swift counter-attack saw Mohamed Salah and Dominik Szoboszlai combine, with the latter's clever dummy leaving the ball for Ngumoha. The teenager, on his Premier League debut, calmly curled a shot into the far corner, making him Liverpool's youngest-ever goalscorer and clinching all three points in a match that will be remembered for years to come.
