U.S. Strikes Three Iranian Nuclear Sites

The United States has joined forces with Israel in launching attacks on Iran, targeting three key nuclear sites: Fordow, Natanz, and Isfahan.

The coordinated strikes, carried out on Saturday, mark a pivotal moment in Iran's war with Israel, in which Israel has been seeking U.S. support. President Donald Trump hailed the operation as "very successful," issuing a stern warning to Iran about the consequences of any retaliatory actions.

The U.S. involvement follows a series of Israeli airstrikes aimed at dismantling Iran's nuclear capabilities over the past week. The U.S. is believed to have used advanced weaponry, including bunker-buster bombs and Tomahawk missiles, targeting the fortified nuclear facilities with precision.

The strikes have significantly heightened tensions in the Middle East, with Iran vowing to continue its nuclear activities and threatening retaliation against the aggressors. The international community has reacted with mixed responses, with some countries expressing alarm over the potential for a wider conflict.

U.S. Strikes "Superficial"

Iran has described the U.S. strikes as "superficial." A local official who represents the area where Fordow is located said President Trump lied about the attack on the facility.

“Based on accurate information, I state that contrary to the claims of the lying US president, the Fordow nuclear facility has not been seriously damaged and most of what was damaged was only on the ground, which can be restored,” Raisi told local media, restating earlier denials of radioactive leakage as a result of the attack. Iranian officials have also suggested that the enriched uranium at the underground facility had already been moved from the site.

It is unclear how the attacks will affect the Iranian nuclear programme. As the situation remains volatile, the prospect of further military engagements looms, raising questions about the long-term implications for peace and stability in the region.
