Zamfara Distributes 300 Vehicles, 2,000 Motorcycles to Groups and Individuals

Zamfara State Governor Dauda Lawal has distributed 300 vehicles and 2,000 motorcycles to individuals and groups as part of his administration’s empowerment programme.

Lawal presented the vehicles and motorcycles on Thursday at a ceremony held at the Trade Fair Complex in Gusau, saying the initiative was designed to promote self-reliance, improve mobility and support economic activities across the state.

The governor said the distribution recognised the contributions of beneficiaries to Zamfara’s social, economic and political development.

He described the initiative as another milestone in his administration’s rescue agenda, stressing that empowerment must translate into practical support for people and grassroots organisations.

“Empowerment goes beyond rhetoric. It requires providing our people and grassroots organisations with the practical tools needed to be self-reliant, restore dignity and deliver the real dividends of democracy,” Lawal said.

He urged beneficiaries to use the vehicles and motorcycles responsibly to support their activities and contribute to the state’s development.

Lawal also reaffirmed his administration’s commitment to infrastructure development, economic recovery and efforts to restore peace and stability in Zamfara.

He said the government would continue to support initiatives aimed at improving livelihoods and strengthening local economic activities.
