Ahead of the 2027 general elections, former Vice President Atiku Abubakar has formally registered as a member of the African Democratic Congress (ADC).
Atiku, who was the Peoples Democratic Party’s (PDP) presidential candidate in the last general election, was welcomed by a large crowd of party supporters, youth groups, and ADC stalwarts in his hometown of Jada Local Government Area, Ward 1.
State party leaders said Atiku’s registration would strengthen the ADC’s visibility and influence, praising his national experience and political stature.
Atiku did not make any formal political declaration at the event, but his interaction with party structures has fueled speculation about his future role in the ADC.
