About 559 Hajj pilgrims from Jigawa State escaped death Wednesday night as their Max Air plane heading to Saudi Arabia had an emergency landing at Malam Aminu Kano International Airport.

Nigeria Info understands that the Boeing 747 aircraft that departed the Dutse Airport had to discontinue the journey when it was struck by lightning that affected the noose of the airplane.

The aircraft with registration number Max B747-HMM had 559 passengers and 21 crew and is currently at the Kano airport.
