The African Democratic Congress has denied reports that it is in talks with the Peoples Redemption Party ahead of an anticipated court judgment.
In a statement posted on X, party spokesperson Bolaji Abdullahi described the reports as false, stating that the party’s coalition leadership is not engaged in any discussions with other political parties.
He said the ADC remains focused on challenging what it called the “illegal action” taken against its leadership, expressing confidence that the courts will uphold the rule of law.
Abdullahi added that while the party is open to expanding its coalition with other opposition groups, it is not considering abandoning its platform.
He urged the public to disregard what he described as speculative claims, insisting that the party remains committed to protecting Nigeria’s multiparty democracy.
