An Air India plane with 242 passengers on board has crashed five minutes after taking off from Ahmedabad Airport.
The incident occurred when the aircraft was attempting to land, as reported by local TV channels.
Eyewitnesses described hearing a massive explosion and witnessing debris scattered across the crash site. "It was a terrifying sound," the Hindustan Times reported a witness saying.
Emergency response teams quickly arrived at the scene, working to rescue survivors and provide medical assistance.
