The National Chairman of the All Progressives Congress (APC), Nentawe Yilwatda, has predicted that President Bola Tinubu will secure more than 70 per cent of the votes in Northern Nigeria in the 2027 presidential election.
Yilwatda made the prediction in Abuja on Saturday at the launch of Arewa for Asiwaju, a political group mobilising support for Tinubu and the APC ahead of the election.
He said the administration’s infrastructure projects, political appointments and healthcare programmes had benefited the region and would strengthen support for the president’s re-election.
Yilwatda cited road projects across the North, including the Trans-Saharan Super Highway, as well as railway developments and healthcare services for pregnant women.
He also pointed to the appointment of northerners to key political positions as another reason voters should support Tinubu for a second term.
The APC chairman urged supporters to mobilise voters at the grassroots, expressing confidence that they could secure more than 70 per cent of the region’s votes for the president.
