Former Vice President Atiku Abubakar has congratulated Osun State Gov. Ademola Adeleke on his re-election, describing the result as a reflection of the choice of the people.
In a post on X, Atiku said Adeleke's victory demonstrated the will of Osun voters as expressed at the ballot box.
He also commended residents of the state for their participation in the election and for maintaining peace during the process.
“I congratulate Governor Ademola Adeleke, @AAdeleke_01, on his re-election as Governor of Osun State,” Atiku wrote.
“His victory demonstrates the choice of the people of Osun as expressed at the ballot box. I commend the people for their passion and peaceful participation.”
Atiku wished Adeleke continued success as he begins another term in office.
Adeleke secured 511,067 votes in Saturday's governorship election, according to results announced by the Independent National Electoral Commission.
