
A British man of Indian origin has emerged as the only survivor of the Air India plane crash at Ahmedabad Airport.
The crash claimed the lives of 241 of the 242 individuals on board.
The survivor, identified as Vishwash Kumar Ramesh, a 40-year-old, is currently receiving treatment at a local hospital.
Despite the devastating impact, Ramesh is reportedly in stable condition and is expected to recover.
The ill-fated Boeing 787-8 Dreamliner was carrying 230 passengers and 12 crew members, flying from Ahmedabad in India to London.
Among the passengers were 169 Indian nationals, 53 from the United Kingdom, seven from Portugal, and one Canadian.
Authorities are investigating the cause of the crash, and Air India has expressed deep condolences and pledged full cooperation with the investigation.
