Nigerian Afrobeats star Burna Boy and Colombian music icon Shakira are celebrating a major milestone as their 2026 FIFA World Cup song, “Dai Dai,” surpasses one billion views on Shakira’s YouTube channel.
The achievement adds another major highlight to the global success of the collaboration, which brings together Burna Boy’s Afrobeats sound and Shakira’s Latin-pop style.
“Dai Dai” was released in May as the official song of the 2026 FIFA World Cup. The track was designed to capture the international spirit of the tournament by combining African and Latin musical influences.
The song’s success also extends beyond entertainment, with royalties from “Dai Dai” supporting the FIFA Global Citizen Education Fund.
